From an early age Philemon Reid was drawn to Cubism and the artist Picasso. By studying Cubism and mainly Picasso, he developed his own style. Over the past several years and through to the present, one of his main subjects has been and still is, music. He has a great love for Blues and Jazz and he creates from his moods and the feelings he experiences while listening to music.

Stripes, textures, delicious whiffs, children's rhymes, eccentric characters, lovely hats, nostalgic tunes and beautiful dogs are all things that catch her attention and fuel her imagination.

Susan de Waardt-Ruiter
After experimenting with a number of different techniques and subjects, Susan de Waardt-Ruiter found her preference for making colorful, humorous acrylic paintings. Her work is both coarsely drawn but with some detail. She gets her new ideas and inspiration from her direct surroundings. The results are modern, realistic paintings with a flirtatious feel. The beautiful ladies with their striking figures are inspired. Combined with an animal or cultural setting, they are shown as cheerful, independent and powerful women.
