About the Artist, Eng Tay

[Eng Tay's

Eng Tay was born in Kedah, West Malaysia in 1947. In 1968, he moved to New York City and studied Fine Arts at the Art Students League. From 1969 to 1972, he attended the School of Visual Arts, NYC, where he received his degree in graphic design. From 1972 to 1978, he achieved status as Participating Artist at Pratt Graphics Center, NYC and Graphic Designer for Red Book Magazine, concurrently. From 1978 to 1980, he undertook painting trips through South America and Asia. Since 1981, he has resided in Soho, NYC. He has exhibited extensively throughout Asia and the US, and has become well known for his limited edition etchings, oils, sculpture and ceramics.

"Emotions, relationships, color, light, wind or sounds that I experienced last night or many years before, are the raw materials with which I try to create 'new' moments - the images my etchings represent - rooted in memory." Eng Tay

We are very please to bring to you Eng Tay's wonderful "Intimacy" series.
